ObGynHospitalist.com was developed by Rob Olson, MD, FACOG. He remains actively involved as the site’s moderator and editor.
Rob is a full-time OB Hospitalist practicing in a
community hospital in Bellingham, Washington. After 28 years in a
successful solo OB/GYN practice, Rob was drawn to the
hospitalist model because it allows him to focus on labor and
delivery. He sees the impact of his choice in improved patient care and
safety.
Rob received his medical degree from Rutgers Medical School and completed his residency at Los Angeles County Hospital/University of Southern California. He is Board Certified and a Fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine, and was the founding President of the newly formed Society of OB/GYN Hospitalists (SOGH).
With his extensive knowledge and experience, Rob is also a OB/GYN Hospitalist program consultant who has helped set up four programs and is also available to help current programs increase efficiency and improve productivity.
